QUIENES SOMOS

Institución dedicada a la difusión del arte teatral, fundada el 3 de Mayo de 1982 por el Arq. José Luis Ardissone. En el año 1990 toma la forma legal de Fundación, por Decreto del Poder Ejecutivo Nº 323 del 27 de Julio de 1991.

NUESTRA MISION

Promover, fomentar y propiciar, el crecimiento cultural, social y comunitario en el Paraguay, utilizando el teatro como herramienta de cambio y esparcimiento para el desarrollo de una actitud crítica en la ciudadania y la valoración, aprecio, goce y disfrute del mismo. Creemos que el teatro debe divertir en el amplio sentido de la palabra, no es un simple esparcimiento. El teatro debe conmover, impresionar, hacer reflexionar, inquietar, llevar al espectador a una reflexión sobre la naturaleza humana y de la sociedad en la que vive.

NUESTROS OBJETIVOS

• Propiciar la puesta en escena de obras de repertorio paraguayo, universal y de creación colectiva que por su contenido y valores artísticos, contribuyan y desarrollen la elevación intelectual y espiritual de la comunidad, el liderazgo y la responsabilidad social y ciudadana y promuevan los derechos y las obligaciones de las personas.
• Difundir y extender el arte teatral a la Capital y el interior del pais, implementando los medios humanos y técnicos necesarios para que las comunidades accedan al teatro como herramienta de cambio.
• Promover la participación juvenil utilizando el teatro como herramienta para el desarrollo de sus habilidades de liderazgo y actitud crítica.
• Impulsar la formación integral de nuevos actores, directores, escenógrafos y vestuaristas para la escena paraguaya acorde a las técnicas clásicas y contemporáneas del teatro y a la realidad social y cultural del Paraguay.
• Conservar y clasificar documentos, cartas, afiches, programas, notas periodisticas, vestuario y elementos de escena que forman parte de la historia teatral paraguaya, mediante la creación de una biblioteca, archivo y museo del teatro.

NUESTROS LOGROS

• A lo largo de estos 25 años llevamos a escena más de 150 obras del teatro nacional e internacional.
• Nuestros elencos mostraron su talento en Festivales Internacionales de Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Brasil, Perú y Portugal.
• En el 2007, año de las Bodas de Plata de la institución, el Congreso de la Nacion, a través del Centro Cultural de la República “El Cabildo”, realizó una exposición de fotos, vestuarios, recortes, afiches, programas y publicaciones sobre su historia.
• El Correo Nacional emitió una serie de estampillas conmemorativas en Junio del 2007.
• En 1990, el Parlamento de la Nación consideró al Arlequín Teatro de “Interés Cultural Nacional“.
• En 1989 fuimos organizadores del “Festival de Mayo del Teatro Internacional en Asunción“ - 1ª Edición - con la presencia de 21 elencos de 7 países latinoamericanos.

ELLOS PASARON POR ARLEQUIN

Actores extranjeros de talla de Alfredo Alcón, José Maria Vilches, Eloisa Cañizares, Maria Paz Ballesteros, Nidia Telles, Adriana Aizemberg, Edda Diaz, Dadh Sfeir, Teresa Selma, Omar Varela, Maite Almazor, Adrian Di Estefano, Beatriz Massons, Rubén Yanez pasaron por su escenario.

Entre los bailarines en Arlequín se encuentran: Julio Bocca, Raquel Rosseti, Miguel Bonnín, Marisol Pecci y varios más.

La orquesta de Camara “Arcos”, dirigido por Luis Szarán y el Cuarteto de Cuerdas de La Plata (Argentina), son algunos de los grupos de música clásica, mientras “Opus 74”, “Sembrador”, “Gente en camino” y la orquesta “Peru Rima” se encuentran entre los grupos de música popular que trajeron su arte al escenario de esta sala.

Directores de la talla de Carlos Aguilera, Juver Salcedo y Nelly Goitiño (Uruguay), Laurent Vacher y Alain Gautre (Francia), Mario Marcel, Ricardo Talesnik y Omar Ottomani (Argentina), Mario Prono, Gustavo Calderini, Arturo Fleitas, Maria Elena Sachero, Jose Luis Ardissone, Carlos Benegas, Rudi Torga, Erenia Lopez, Liber Fernandez y Miguel Gomez (Paraguay) han dirigido los elencos de Arlequín.

DISTINCIONES NACIONALES E INTERNACIONALES A SU DIRECTOR

• Condecoración “HONOR AL MERITO” de la República Italiana en el grado de “CABALLERO” a su director José Luis Ardissone.
• Premio “MOLIERE”, otorgado por la Embajada de Francia a José Luis Ardissone por su trayectoria.
• Premio “OSCAR TRINIDAD”, otorgado a José Luis Ardissone a su trayectoria.
• Premio UNIVERSIDAD IBEROAMERICANA” otorgado a José Luis Ardissone y al Arlequín Teatro por su contribución al desarrollo del Teatro.
• Distinción otorgada por el FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE TEATRO DE SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA (Bolivia) en Abril del 2007 a la trayectoria y al aporte de su director y de la institución al teatro paraguayo y latinoamericano.
• Invitado en numerosas ocasiones a participar en simpósios internacionales en Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay, Estados Unidos, Francia y España.
• Premio MUNICIPAL DE VALDIVIA (CHILE) otorgado al arlequín Teatro Internacional”

WHO WE ARE

Institution devoted to the difusión of theatrical art , found by Architect Jose Luis Ardissone on the 3rd of May , 1982. In 1990 the Foundation was legalizad through the Decree of the Executive Power Nr. 323 of July 27, 1991

OUR TASK

Promote, foster and propitiate cultural, social and community Growth in Paraguay, using the theatre as a tool for change and Entertainment to develop a critical attitude from the citizens and the Enjoyment, pleasure and appraisal of the same.

We relieve that the theatre must in the whole sense of the Word. It is not mere recreation. The theatre must move, impress, Make us think, upset, make the spectatos think about human nature And the society he lives in.

OUR OBJECTIVES

• Propitiate plays of Paraguayan, universal and collective creation Repertoire whose contens Hill contribute to develop spiritual and Intellectual elevation of the community, the leadership and the social Responsibility and at the community, the leadership and obligations Of the people.
• Diffuse and expand the art of the theatre in the Capital and in the interior Of the country, implementing the human and technical jeans so that Every community could have access to the theatre as a tool for change

• Promote the integral formation of actors, directors, stage desiners and Costume designers for the Paraguayan scene in accordance with classic And contemporary theatre techniques and social and cultural reality of Paraguay .
• File and classify documents, letters, programs, newspaper Reviews , and preserve costumes and preserve costumes and props which are part of the Paraguayan theatrical history through the creation of a library, an archive And a theatre museum .

OUR ACHIVEMENTS

• On its 25th Anniversariy in 2007 , the Nacional Congress through The Cultural Center of the Republic “El Cabildo”., ORGANIZED AN Exhibit of photos, costumes, reviews, programmes, and Publications on Duch history.
• The Nacional Post Office issued commemorative stamps in June 2007
• In 1990, The Parliament of the Nation Honoured Arlequín Theatre Of “Nacional Cultural Interest”
• In 1989 WE ORGANIZED “The May Internacional Theatre Festival in Asunción “ , 1ª Edition – with the participation of 21 casts from 7 Different Latin American countries.
